Outlandish Music events brings to you the best of Scottish traditional music, infused with both Clan and Scottish history.
We will give you an opportunity to immerse yourself in the music and traditions of the highlands, with a touch of TV and Movie magic brought to you directly from the people involved in your favourite Scottish based productions.
Get the chance to handle period and set used weapons and wear set worn costumes, learn how to wear the traditional Scottish Plaid (great kilt) and Arisaids (female dress)
You can come and wield the basket hilted broad sword along with the same person who taught Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish on the set of Outlander on how to hold themselves and wear the plaid and use the Broadsword and Lochaber axe.
Featured on men in Kilts is Charlie Allan and Iain MacGillivray ( Men and Pipes ) who will be playing their own music with their own band members, but will have individual songs to share with you, written and inspired by historical events. They will come together on stage to share their collaborations from their first album together, Men and Pipes.
Throughout the evening you will get the chance to have one to one chat with the cast members, extras who can share their tales of behind the scenes and you’ll be able to experience historical one to ones with the one and only Tartan Viking and learn of his vast knowledge.
We will be coming to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Duncarron medieval Village outside Stirling and will introduce you to local musicians for the late-night evening Traditional Scottish ceilidh.
Our professional Scottish dancers supplied by Mark Cameron will be at hand to teach you some of the famous dance steps and lead you on your way to ending the night as Scottish as we can make any Sassenach!!
Fully licenced bar and half-time nibbles provided. This all evening event will be ticketed only and start from £85 per person with discounts for group bookings.

Iain MacGillivray, a seasoned and accomplished Scottish Celtic musician, hails from a family with a deep-rooted piping legacy. With a remarkable journey in the world of music, Iain's melodious expertise resonates through his work. A distinguished member of the renowned Tanahill Weavers band, he not only contributes his musical prowess to the ensemble but also crafts his own compelling compositions under his own music labels- Celtic Streams and I.D.MacG.
In 2016, Iain MacGillivray achieved an extraordinary feat by being unanimously elected as the Clan Commander of Clan MacGillivray, etching his name as the youngest clan commander in the annals of Scottish clan history. His strong connection to his heritage and tradition is evident not only through his music but also through his leadership role.
Iain's captivating bagpiping skills have garnered widespread recognition, leading him to make significant contributions to the world of television.
